The company
Due to consistent growth, this well-known and trusted national distributor of industrial low and medium voltage electrical and automation products is seeking a Business Development Manager, in Perth.
The position
Calling on Switchboard Builders, the aim of this role is to develop and implement a successful sales strategy for both existing and new accounts.

You will be supplying a wide range of quality products, whilst representing a genuine market leader that is highly regarded and widely used across Australia.

To achieve this, you will need to have existing relationships in the electrical industry, sound electrical knowledge, along with strong sales skills – a good awareness of upcoming projects in the region, ability to work autonomously, great communication skills and a desire to provide exceptional service.
Duties include:
  • To canvass, identify and negotiate with potential clients.
  • To prepare and supervise such marketing and advertising plans.
  • To deploy successful sales strategy and tactics for the future growth with key accounts and target markets.
  • Contribute to the profitable growth of the business.
  • Develop strong customer relations with key accounts.
  • Provide sales support and training to customers.

Skills & experience required: 
  • An electrical trade or engineering qualification is preferred, but not essential.
  • LV switchgear knowledge and existing relationships with Switchboard Builders is essential.
  • Familiarity with the sales process including face to face customer sales.
  • A structured and planned approach to sales.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team, to learn and create solutions.
  • Negotiable base salary (dependant on experience) plus super.
  • Car allowance plus fuel card & toll pass.
  • Generous Sales Incentive Plan.
  • Mobile phone and laptop provided.
