The company:
As a multi-national organisation, this group has established branches in all key centers of Australia. They are an organisation that excels in the sale of hydraulic componentry and provides workshop, on-site field service and mechanical design engineering services to its clients.

The position:
As the business development manager, you will be required to identify and develop key customer relationships with clients across the renewable energy and wind turbine sector. The position will require you to travel an average of one week a month nationally, calling on engineering consultancies, mechanical service providers and end users. You will be responsible for developing leads and sales conversations while being supported by the engineering and account management team. Your role will be to spearhead new growth and promote a range of new industrial products.  

Duties include:
  • Identify and develop key client contacts across the wind turbine and energy sector
  • Travel nationally to develop long-term commercial client relationships
  • Promote industrial braking systems and consumable products
  • Liaise with the engineering team to accurately specify customer needs
  • Work with the country, regional and engineering managers to identify sales pipelines   
Skills & experience required:
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated industrial business development experience
  • Be structured and well-organised in your daily and forecasted activities
  • Be mechanically minded with a passion for learning
  • Understand how to identify quality opportunities and build a portfolio of contacts
  • Have a natural affinity for developing personal commercial relationships
  • Possess a collaborative and team-orientated attitude
