Controls & Applications Engineer

Position:
This is a diverse engineering role focused on applications, controls and project delivery for innovative BESS solutions. Working closely with Sales, customers and project teams, you'll interpret technical requirements, configure control systems, support third-party integrations and troubleshoot application-related issues. From tender reviews through to commissioning, you'll play a key role in ensuring systems meet customer needs and perform as intended.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support BESS projects from tender through to commissioning
• Review technical specifications and prepare tender responses
• Configure BESS control systems, software parameters and PLC logic
• Support third-party integration for microgrid applications
• Maintain technical documentation using AutoCAD where required
• Assist with testing, commissioning and technical troubleshooting
• Work with customers, EPCs and internal teams to deliver projects

 Skills & Experience:

• Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
• Experience in applications engineering, controls or automation
• Experience with PLC programming, ideally using CODESYS
• Programming experience in Python and/or C++
• AutoCAD experience for technical drawings and documentation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience with BESS, microgrids or renewable energy highly regarded
